 At present, the private sector in developed western countries applies International Labour Standards, Social Responsibility Standards, Codes of Ethics and other similar standards to their practices as trade requirements between business to business or buyers and suppliers. Noncompliance with such standards may cause barriers to trade and consequently will impact the business and labor of that country.
As the producer of goods responding to social needs, good labour management system will lead to effective labour protection and fair practices, which will consequently contribute to higher quality of life and products, social peace and sustainable economic growth and development. In order to attain the norm of labour practices reflecting social responsibility and leading to enhancement of competitive opportunities for Thai Labour, the standard on Thai Corporate Social Responsibility is under the provision of the Constitution of the Royal Thai Kingdom, the provisions of the labour laws on labour protection, labour welfare, labour relations and occupational safety, health and environment, as well as the Conventions of the International Labour Organization and the United Nations. The contents of the Standard also include requirements of other labour standards enforced by domestic and international organizations.
Magnecomp Precision Technology PCL (MPT) aims to improve labour management effectiveness to enhance competition ability as well as employees’ quality of life. In order to achieve this aim, MPT has adopted Thai Labor Standard (TLS 8001) requirements.
